About

Eu Carcassonne150

My name is Radu Razvan.I am currently living in Chartres in the central region of France. My main interest lies in commercial and travel photography.

I am a medical doctor specialized in nutritional and metabolic diseases. During the last year of my doctoral studies in Japan, after having published a few interesting articles on insulin secretion in beta pancreatic cells, I decided to change my trade and take up professional digital photography, which evolved from passion to profession.

The origins of my passion for photography are in my childhood. My father introduced me to the black and white photography technique, and this led me to spending many days and nights in the dark room.

My commercial portfolio, both varied and attractive, is tailored to answer the needs of designers in various areas and subjects: nature, travel, culture, business, advertising, science and technology. This portfolio is largely distributed through various stock agencies. Some of my important clients are: National Geographic, GEO (magazine), Swatch, NBC, The New York City Opera, British Encyclopedia, The Japanese Cultural Centre, The Canadian Cultural Centre, The International Food Policy Research Institute, The International Society of Blood Pressure, Iulius Mall, The Transylvanian Bank.

Besides producing commercial and stock photography, I like to travel and turn these trips into veritable photographic explorations of the places I visit. I have a special interest in the cultural, ethnic and natural aspects and I try to build up a complex portfolio to showcase the amazing cultural diversity of the world. I am regularly making trips and expeditions around the world on various assignments or to update my files. You can follow the development of this portfolio on this website. Many of these images are exclusively presented here.

Recently I started to create a special collection of images for producing high quality prints. These images are specially processed in collaboration with a very professional print lab in Paris. For these prints I use various surfaces (fine ar paper, canvas, aluminium or acrylic) and they have different sizes, including large format prints. You can discover this collection on my print shop section of the website.

My photos are digitally processed, by myself and my team, according to the highest current standards offered by the photographic technology. My aim is simple and natural images of impeccable quality. You can stay connected to all my current projects by regularly visiting my blog.
